Healing Massage Therapy in White Bear Lake MN

Massage therapy is a healing practice that can enhance an individual’s wellness and physiological performance. A massage can have a positive impact on the physique and psyche of a person. A shortlist of the amazing effects a massage can have include: shuttling toxins away from soft tissues, improving blood flow, and improving the resilience of the body’s many fibers and joints.

Massage therapy has also been known to assist in treating muscle spasms and muscle trauma. The reason this is the case is that a massage reduces the amount of time it takes to recover by improving the flow of the circulatory system. This, in turn, allows the body to recover faster naturally.

A massage at a chiropractic clinic can help with innumerable symptoms such as back pain, healing from medical procedures, headaches and migraines, insomnia, and much more.

Advantages of Massage Therapy

The advantages of massage therapy are heralded and known across the world. It has been well-documented that massage can treat a large number of symptoms. Just a couple of the advantages that massage therapy can afford an individual include, extremity pain relief, improved blood flow, improved mood, and reduced physical and mental pressure. Massage therapy is also excellent at eliminating the body of toxins. All of the advantages of massage therapy combine to result in an all-natural treatment that can help a person’s body perform at its very best in all dimensions of health.

Massage Therapy and Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic and massage are similar in that they both utilize the careful application of physical force on an individual's body in order to activate the body’s healing response. Once these treatments are complete, the body tends to undergo a restoration and any aches and pains are diminished and life becomes increasingly pain-free.

It is not necessary to choose between massage therapy and chiropractic since both are excellent treatments that complement each other well. There are many individuals living healthier lifestyles that serve as proof of the healing properties of these treatments.

The reason why massage therapy and chiropractic care work well together is because:

  • Massage prolongs the effects of a chiropractic adjustment
  • Chiropractic adjustments make it easier for a massage to affect the body
  • Improved flexibility between the two treatments ensure the full benefits of said treatments are realized

What Our Patients Are Saying

"Pros: I went into this with limited info on her technique, and was quite pleased. She read my chiropractic notes on my chart & was on top of things before I came in. I told her my issues & massage preferences. (No kitty cat massages. Get those muscles, facia, etc to release!!!)

She was solid at communicating what she was doing & what she wanted from me. I asked about her techniques & style. She said she prefers to use Thai & Swedish techniques in her therapeutic massage as she is able to help enact longer term changes in the body. I was pleased with her ability to read my body, as that is a must for me & for therapeutic massage.

Cons: My entire session was done with my leggings & tank top on-which is different from any massage I have had outside of manual stretching with another therapist to unfreeze my shoulder. Your staff should inform massage clients to wear comfy clothing.

Conclusion: technique, proficiency & finding affected areas were great. She was professional, informed & gave great service. She talked in a way the average lay person could understand. That said, there needs to be better communication at scheduling about what to expect. (Wear comfy clothes for a style of massage that encompasses many styles & utilizes stretching for maximum relief…) She did not give me the massage that people go in expecting & that could be an issue. I don't think it's anything that couldn't be managed with better upfront communication. Thanks for this awesome opportunity."

"I really enjoyed the massage from Jennifer. It was definitely different to what I've experienced in the past with other therapists and different to a spa massage but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Honestly, I felt so amazing coming out of there-I feel far more flexible and far less stiff! I booked her for after my adjustment next week! Such a huge treat for me.

"We did LOTS of stretching, she did a nice job with enough pressure but using forearm vs thumb or even knuckles which would have been BRUTAL.

Really the only downside was the chatting. Next time, I will let her know I like to "zone out" during a session. I felt more relaxed following this session.
